Fun Day at the Pool for children with special needs - Brisbane - Albany Creek Leisure Centre

Swimming Queensland is hosting a FREE Fun Day at the Pool for children with special needs and teachers/carers working in Special Education units.

 

Leading the activities will be Wendy Ross, a specialist in the teaching of swimming to children with a disability.

Session 1

10.00 am to 11.30 am - Mini Meet

A fully supervised series of fund and novelty races, such as across the pool relays and races using kickboards and pool noodles

Session 2

12.30 - 2.00 pm Water Activities

In-water activities designed to help children gain skills and confidence to safely enjoy all the benefits of the pool.

Heaps of fun activities for non-swimmers, beginners & regular swimmers

Every child will receive a drink bottle, swimming cap, bag, fun book and swimming poster
