Asperger Syndrome: Anxiety & Depression in Adolescents

Dr Eric Marx and Ms Christine Burnett from the psychology Department at the Australian Catholic University are conducting a study on anxiety and depression in adolescents with Asperger Syndrome. Previous studies suggest that these combined factors are prevalent in the Asperger population. Ms Burnett is a mother of five children, including an adolescent with Asperger Syndrome. We are seeking adolescents aged 12-17 with an existing diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome.

Participation will take approximately half an hour to complete a questionnaire booklet relating to how you feel about your life. There is chocolate involved for all participants! This research gives you a chance to have your say and actively contribute to research which may be published. This is an important step in advancing our understanding of the unique experience of families and individuals living with Asperger Syndrome. This study has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) Register Number: Q2010 14. We warmly welcome your participation.
